Fantastic question, let’s see if I have an answer for you.
I am the complete dork in the above photo. (In front of Glacier Grey, Torres del Paine National Park, Chile)
I am a travel addict who is just starting to give in to the addiction. I hope you’re coming along for the ride.
I am a professional horticulturist, which means I know a lot about plants. I even have a degree in it, how cool is that?! For more than 13 years, I used this degree to help make pretty gardens for people, teach folks how to grow and harvest and preserve food, and as a platform for my favorite soap box…the local, organic and sustainable food movement.
I am a writer. I started writing poetry at age nine (you are not likely to read much of that here, sorry, it’s a super duper top secret club and I don’t give the knock out to that many people). I have been published in a local food magazine. Also, I have this wonderful blog that you are reading. Thank you! After the aforementioned longer than a decade career, I have ditched everything and am living out of my backpack, pursuing writing as a profession and satisfying my strong urge to wander around the globe. Click here to read more about that.
I’m also a lot of other things, but really, we’re just getting to know each other. I think it’s best to let this relationship develop over time. Hang out, you’ll find out plenty more about me, I promise! Oh, and if you haven’t done so already, please subscribe. And comment. I really like comments. Without them, I sometimes feel like I’m talking to myself, and that’s kind of weird right? I mean, except when it’s in my head or something. I promise I’ll respond to anything you say, unless you’re really really mean. Thanks!!
Wow, I didn’t realize you were a horticulturist, and I’m thrilled about our connection to the organic sustainable food movement. If you love to travel maybe you can come visit me in Santa Barbara sometime and do a workshop with me or something. Looking forward to connecting with you more.
Keep up the awesome work!!!!!!
